About the Journal

AIMS AND SCOPE
Ibom Medical Journal [Ibom Med J] is an open-access peer-reviewed biomedical journal published by the Nigerian Medical Association, Akwa Ibom State Branch. Currently, Ibom Med J is published three time annually as follows; January as issue 1, May as issue 2 and September as issue 3 every year.

Ibom Med J publishes original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, rare case reports, commentaries, communications, etc in all fields of medicine. The Ibom Med J also publishes articles in Basic Medical Sciences and Allied Medical Sciences.

JOURNAL’S OPEN ACCESS STATEMENT
Ibom Med J is an open access journal. The HTML and PDF files of all articles are available free immediately upon publication.
Ibom Med J allows reuse and remixing of content in accordance with Creative Common Licence (CC BY).
Ibom Med J allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search and link to the full texts of its articles and for all other lawful purposes.
Ibom Med J also allows authors to hold the copyright without restriction and to retain publishing rights without restrictions.

REPOSITORY POLICY
Ibom Med. J allows authors to deposit all versions (Submitted version, Accepted version and Published version) of their work in an institutional or other repository of their choice. The journal is also archived in Puplic Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN) for long-term preservation.

Ibom Med. J is registered/indexed in TDNet, Ulrichs, Pro Quest, African Journal Online (AJOL), African Index Medicus, Crossref and Google Scholar. The Journal has applied for indexing with Directory of Open Access Journals, EBSCO, PubMed.
